The next time you catch your cat napping, which is pretty much all the time, take the break to hone your writing skills and compose a paragraph or more using only one syllable words…have fun!
One slow, smooth stretch eases the arch in the back to a long, lax slide straight down to splayed toes pinned to the rug. Head nods twice, then drops flat on soft white paws, claws now sheathed. Blue eyes not quite closed, stare as if to say “come on, touch me if you dare…” Soon glazed orbs blink and form a thin slit. But one small wary cat is still keen to see a move close at hand (or paw). with a wide, full yawn the jaw snaps to a thin grin; with one lush sigh of purr, cat at rest lets the world know that all is well once more. Now for a nice long nap filled with sweet dreams of big, fat mice ripe to eat. Good night my soft, sweet prince, sleep well.
